چکیده
The objective of the research was through key actors to identify contamination by hydrocarbons and heavy metals in water main sources municipality Macuspana, Tabasco. Methodology: A diagnosis made, applying questionnaires interviews directed inhabitants Macuspana workers oil sector. data were processed with frequency analysis, Kruskal Wallis, analysis variance, multivariate two factors. Results: It shown that there has been historical contamination, for 30 years, is evidence dead organisms bodies, presence various diseases population due exposure contaminants from derive activity. There a negative impact spills disabled wells lack maintenance programs. Implications: economy most Gulf Mexico based on extraction, processing, distribution hydrocarbons. This industry´s growth increased number exploration production wells, generating direct aquatic environments. state Tabasco one largest producers, as well fishing resources commercial environmental importance, which are directly affected Findings: study found cases correlated Conclusions: little interest sector about public health problems damage ecosystems

Hydrocarbons and Heavy Metals Pollutants in Aquaculture
1.0 INTRODUCTION The increasing of human population has increased the need for food supply. This with the need for quality fish protein has increased the demand for fish and fish products. The global consumption of fish and derived fish products has generally increased during recent decades (Wim et al., 2007). The cage aquaculture sector has grown very rapidly during the past 20 years and is pr...

The economy of the state of Tabasco is based on oil extraction. However, this imposes major effects to the environment and communities. Examples are the Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) that may be found in the soil, water and sediment of the region. Their volatility makes them available to living beings and results in genotoxic activity. The purpose of this study was to quantify the lev...
متن کاملPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and heavy metals in Kostrena coastal area.
The aim of this study was to determine pollution by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and heavy metals in seawater and sediment in Kostrena coastal area, as well as their toxicity using bioluminescence based tests. Total PAH concentration in seawater ranged 1.7-155.3 ng/L. The share of carcinogenetic PAH was relatively high, ranging 22-48.3%. Nickel concentrations in seawater were beyond d...
متن کاملHealth Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals: Cu, Cd, Pb, Ni and Hg, in Catfish Ariopsis Felis in Southern Mexico
Background: Metal pollution is a problem in many parts of the world. These metals can be harmful when they exceed the recommended limits. By analyzing metal concentrations in living organisms, it is possible to deduce the bioavailability and the level of environmental contamination for specific metals in an ecosystem. The aim of this study was to determine the heavy metals copper, cadmium, lead...
